Court Shooting

Yeah, its a little old but I never actually watched the footage (3.5MB). It seems to me that the guy got to walk a long ways before anyone did anything! Even the news story on it says the off-duty deputy who finally tackled the guy was around a corner! I know the gunman basically used up all his bullets in the attorney, but still, you'd think at least one of the camera/sound/reporter/other people on the street would have been in good enough shape to take down the shooter! Looking at the video, its not like the gunman was an ex-Navy Seal.

This just increases my contempt for the newsmedia. To me, it looks as if they would have followed the guy around for hours, just to see where he was going. I can see it now, a new series on Fox! "Watch this button-down, Oxford-cloth psycho, stalking from office to office with an Armalite AR-180 carbine gas-operated semi-automatic, pumping round after round into colleagues and coworkers." all while we follow 2 feet away getting exclusive coverage!
